Lori Shapiro, who served as an analyst in the White House during the Clinton administration, steps into the First Lady spotlight.

Pennsylvania first lady Lori Shapiro, who served as an analyst in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy during the Clinton administration, may have the chance to return to D.C. in a new role, writes Fallon Roth for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Her husband, Gov. Josh Shapiro, is considered a top contender for Vice President Kamala Harris’ running-mate. If he is selected and their ticket wins, Shapiro would this time head to the nation’s capital as second lady of the United States.

A notoriously private person, Shapiro has consistently been a “behind-the-scenes rock” for her husband.

Now that her husband is on Harris’ VP shortlist, Shapiro has stepped into the spotlight once again. She was seen earlier this week among a crowd of supporters who gathered in Ambler for her husband and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

If Harris taps the governor to be her running mate, the lights could become even brighter.
