Forbes ranks seventeen companies in the Philadelphia area on their list of best companies to employ women with five of them in Montgomery County, writes Lisa Dukart for Philadelphia Business Journal.

On Tuesday, Forbes published results after surveying over 150,000 women who work at companies of at least 1,000 employees. 

The survey collected information such as how likely participants were to recommend their current or former employers. Other factors included parental leave, work environment, pay equity, and how employers handled sexual misconduct and discrimination.

The survey also took into account the amount of women in higher positions within the company.

Forbes adds four more Philly companies to the list of best employers for women from last year, however many of these companies have fallen lower on the ranking.

Here’s how Montgomery County companies rank as best employers for women:

• No 197: Merck & Co. – Upper Gwynedd (divisional headquarters)
• No. 234: Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen) – Conshohocken
• No. 268: Radial – King of Prussia
• No. 508: Bimbo Bakeries – Horsham
• No. 510: David’s Bridal – Conshohocken
