Business Development Officer — SBA

This position is responsible for external self-sourcing SBA-government guaranteed loans within the bank’s geographic territory. He/she will identify and solicit new business relationship and interview new and existing loan applicants to gather information relative to their business needs, abilities, and earnings to determine whether loans may be an acceptable risk. The person will also assemble loan packages and assist in the gathering and closing process, as well as cross-sell business products to existing customers and prospect business customers through an organized calling program.

The ideal candidate will possess at least seven years of experience in screening, processing, and booking SBA 504 and SBA 7A loans. Additional lending experience in the area of SBA-related loans is desirable. Financial sales and lending abilities are required, as is in-depth credit and lending knowledge and a thorough understanding of all traditional and non-traditional bank products.

Loan Review Officer

This position will monitor new and existing credit facilities on a regular basis; promptly identify loans that have potential weaknesses and exposure to risk of loss; project relevant trends that affect the risk profile of the portfolio; and provide essential information to determine the adequacy of the Loan Loss Reserve. He/she will ensure that credit facilities adhere to existing policy guidelines, that documentation is adequate to ensure security of collateral, and that lending personnel provide an appropriate level of portfolio management to ensure that credit risk is acceptable and profitable.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or Business Administration and at least five years of relationship management or credit experience and/or 10-plus years of banking/audit/appraisal experience. He/she will have a good credit analysis background and well-rounded supervisory banking experience and background.

Portfolio Manager — Commercial Real Estate

The position properly evaluates existing and prospective credit relationships by working closely with the Relationship Managers and Team Leader. He/she maintains in-depth knowledge of loan products, services, and Firstrust’s credit policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance and sound credit decisions, along with proper and timely customer service. The person will analyze structure, recommend, and submit loans for approval to appropriate approving authority or loan committee.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field, as well as three to five years of commercial real estate lending experience. He/she will have knowledge of commercial real estate lending practices and compliance issues and strong interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills. The person will be able to interface with internal and external customers on a daily basis.
