There are two new American Airlines lounges opening next year at Philadelphia International Airport.  One of those will be American’s Flagship Lounge, the most exclusive offering available, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

PHL’s largest carrier is opening a premium Flagship Lounge and another Admirals Club in Terminal A-West.

The Flagship Lounge will be the first in Philadelphia. It joins a handful now operating at airports in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Miami.

A Flagship Lounge gives you chef-inspired meals, a premium wine table, a specialty cocktail bar, personalized service, shower suites and a fireplace.

The cuisine comes from a partnership with the nonprofit James Beard Foundation.

Access to the Flagship Lounge is based on membership status and ticket type, or a one-time visitor pass for $150.

.The new Admirals Club lounge will be open to select travelers or one-day pass holders. It joins Admiral lounges at PHL already in Terminal A-East and in Terminal F.

Admiral lounges offer complimentary food and drinks, travel assistance and a fireplace, with some having shower suites and a business center.

The goal is to help “customers to rejuvenate and feel their best ahead of their flight,” according to the airline.
