In honor of its 150th anniversary, Ambler Savings Bank donated to four community non-profit organizations totaling $6,000.

Each branch of Ambler Savings Bank selected a non-profit organization that holds special significance to them, demonstrating the bank’s commitment to fostering positive change and empowering communities to thrive. The following non-profits each received a $1,500 donation.

Darren Daulton Foundation: The Darren Daulton Foundation, founded by Amanda and Darren Daulton, a former Phillies player, is dedicated to supporting individuals battling brain cancer by assisting with medical expenses in the Philadelphia area.

Girls First: Girls First, a nonprofit organization based in Norristown, offers an after-school education program tailored to at-risk elementary girls, providing them with essential support and resources for academic success.

Spring-Ford Project Outreach: Spring-Ford Project Outreach serves the Royersford and Spring City communities by operating a vital food pantry and providing emergency housing and social services to residents within the Spring-Ford school district.

Bally Area Recreational Deployment Society (BARDS): BARDS is the heart of parks and recreational activities in Bally Borough, offering residents access to a variety of recreational programs and facilities, enhancing the quality of life for the community.

Each organization was chosen by branch employees for their significant contributions to the community.

“A heartfelt thank you to Ambler Savings Bank for their generous donation to our trauma-informed and arts-based afterschool program in Norristown,” stated Alyssa Franklin, Director at Girls First.

She also explained how the donation would be used for the Girls First programming. “This donation will allow us to kick off the new program year in the fall with art materials,” she said.

Ambler Savings Bank branch employees were thankful for the opportunity to give back, too.

“It’s so important for us to assist our neighbors, where we all live and work,” said Louise Tulio, Limerick Branch Manager at Ambler Savings Bank. “To be able to give back, specifically to a charity near our Limerick Branch (Project Outreach) in such a way, and to know that we’re impacting food insecurities right in our backyard is humbling and rewarding.”

As the Bank celebrates its milestone anniversary, it remains committed to its core values of community support, service, and positive impact.

“As we planned the Bank’s 150th celebration, it was important we included the community, and giving back charitably was a huge part of that,” stated Carolyn Watson, Marketing Officer at Ambler Savings Bank.
