Ambler-Based Phenom Continues to Expand with Acquisition of India’s Tydy
Ambler-based Phenom has continued to expand with the recent acquisition of Tydy, an India-based company focusing on human resources preboarding and onboarding capabilities, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal is Phenom’s fifth acquisition overall, and its first in over two years. According to Phenom co-founder and CEO Mahe Bayireddi, the acquisition added more than 40 primarily remote employees to the company’s existing workforce of around 1,500.
Phenom streamlines the hiring process for both recruiters and candidates with its human resources platform that uses artificial intelligence, data, and machine learning. Around 600 million people worldwide will use the company’s platform to apply for jobs this year, said Bayireddi. Phenom currently has over 500 enterprise customers.
The acquisition will allow Phenom to expand its capabilities and keep employees on its platform in the onboarding process.
The Montgomery County company plans to focus on organic growth in the future, but that could change if the right acquisition opportunity appears.
“If we see the case [where] something can accelerate our growth and accelerate our product development faster and can really become consolidated into what our culture is or our product is, then we are really going after it,” said Bayireddi.
