Dim Sum Taste will be coming soon to 127 W. Gay Street. The storefront has been vacant for a few years since Laurento's Formal Wear closed.

Two storefronts in West Chester that have been vacant for various periods of time now have new owners coming soon. The recently closed Fairman’s and another storefront next to The Brow Bar on Gay Street will be filled.

Fairman’s skate shop, only having been vacant for one month, will see a new owner in The Green House, which is expanding to this location. Currently stationed at 107 N. Church Street, The Green House was opened in 2023 by Peter Giuffre.

They sell houseplants, organic skincare items, and home decor. By moving to this location, which is four to five times larger than their current address, they will have more space to display inventory and host workshops like macrame-making, pot designing, and girls’ night or date night events. They are hoping to open in mid-July or August.

The second storefront at 127 W. Gay Street, which used to be home to Laurento’s Formal Wear, is expecting the restaurant Dim Sum Taste.

West Chester does not yet have a dedicated dim sum place, so diners who love soup dumplings of all flavors such as pork, shrimp, vegetable, and more can rejoice. Dim sum means “touch the heart,” so hopefully we can expect this Chinese restaurant to serve delicious and warm food to feed our stomachs and souls!

While there is no menu or website available about Dim Sum Taste yet, one can imagine there will be countless other menu options to enjoy.

Be on the lookout for more information about The Green House’s move and Dim Sum Taste coming soon to West Chester.
