Fearless Restaurants Opening White Dog Cafe Location in Chester Springs
Fearless Restaurants is opening a fifth location of its popular White Dog Cafe in Chester Springs, writes Kaitlyn McCullough for Main Line Today.
The new restaurant, which is set to open on June 14, is on the site once occupied by the Vickers Restaurant. The historic building was constructed in the 1820s and was once a stop on the Underground Railroad.
The restaurant has seven rooms and is able to accommodate 400 guests. It is set to be one of the Fearless Restaurants’ largest eateries.
It aims to “[create] a space that feels like you are in a home with each room having its own personality,” said Fearless Restaurant managing partner Marty Grims.
The farmhouse originally owned by abolitionist and potter John Vicker was renovated and updated by Stokes Architecture + Design, which made sure to blend the past with the present for a unique guest experience.
The main bar is now lit by lanterns saved from an old church. The firm added an awning and fireplace to the original front patio. Original brick flooring and thrifted antique furniture from local vendors are among other unique elements.
