Four Montgomery County companies have found their place on the latest Fortune 500 list, writes Ryan Sharrow for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Overall, eleven Philadelphia-area companies made the list that ranks publicly traded companies by annual revenue, which is two fewer than there were last year.

The highest-ranked Montgomery County company – and the highest-ranked in the region – is Conshohocken-based Cencora, previously AmerisourceBergen.

Cencora returned to the top ten after placing at No. 11 last year. The pharmaceutical wholesaler recorded a revenue of $262.2 billion in 2023, a 9.9 percent increase compared to the previous year.

King of Prussia-based Universal Health Services is next on the list at No. 299. The company, which is up 12 spots compared to 2022, saw its revenue increase last year by 6.6 percent to $14.3 billion.

Fort Washington-based Toll Brothers is down 12 spots this year at No. 394. The company recorded a revenue decrease of 2.7 percent to $9.99 billion.

The list is rounded out by King of Prussia-based UGI at No. 434. The company dropped 46 spots with a revenue fall of 11.7 percent to $8.9 billion.
