Zach Devlin of Willow Grove, a teacher and church worship leader, loves the camaraderie that comes from being a part of the Philadelphia sports community, writes Dave Uram for KYW Newsradio.

He loves to talk to other local sports fans, younger and older alike.

“There’s always that community,” he said.

Devlin’s brother Luke said he is passionate about everything and “goes the extra mile to talk about it and to be involved in Philly.” He added that when his brother watches the game, he cannot sit still – he is standing half the time.

Devlin, who has been a sports fan since childhood, embraces everything about Philly sports. He is also proud to share this with his three children.

His youngest daughter, Mia, was born on August 4, 2023, the night Trea Turner received the big ovation from the Phillies fans that turned his season around.

“It was right before, so I was cheering on Trea Turner trying not to drop my newborn at Main Line Health,” said Devlin.

He is happy to say that his daughter helped put Turner’s season in the right direction.
