How Montgomery County Stacks Up in Home Affordability Compared To Other PA Counties

The National Association of Realtors has released an interactive map that provides a visual representation of the median home prices for each county in the United States.

This includes each county in Pennsylvania.

Right now, the median monthly mortgage payment in Montgomery County is $2,650, for a median-priced home with a value of $430,230.

This is a $250 monthly mortgage payment increase from a year earlier.

The rates are slightly higher across the board in both Bucks County and Chester County.

The median monthly mortgage payment in Bucks County is $2,750 a month for a median-priced home with a value of $445,230, which is a $270 increase from a year prior.

In Chester County, median monthly mortgage payment is $2,920 for a median-priced home value of $473,350, representing a $280 increase from last year. 

Delaware County and Philadelphia, on the other hand, each have lower rates across the board.

In Delaware County, the median monthly mortgage payment is $2,030 for a median-priced home value of $329,320, representing a $190 increase from last year.

The median monthly mortgage payment in Philadelphia is $1,530 for a median-priced home value of $247,770, representing a $150 increase from last year.
