Montgomery County Community College Seeks Part-Time Academic Advisor
Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is searching for a Part-Time Academic Advisor.
The Part-Time Academic Advisor provides one-on-one, as well as group academic, career, and college transfer advising to students resulting in an increased level of student engagement, comprehensive decision-making, and utilization of a vast array of services to support student success.
This position is five days per week with a total of 25 hours per week. During peak times, this employee may work up to 29 hours. Hours are Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation. Work is done on the day shift, with one required evening per week.
This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations. The candidate must submit the following three clearances as a condition of pre-employment: Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Check, and FBI Fingerprints. Flexible work may be considered for this position.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
Candidate should have:
- A Master’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of student development.

- Evidence of continued professional growth and development.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations, such as
