There are plenty of options for your Delaware County burger craving.

We love a good burger in Delaware County, almost as much as a good cheesesteak or hoagie.

Here are six places where you’ll find some of the best, from old-fashioned fast food to 50s-style burger joints, writes William Zimmerman for Philly Bite Magazine.

The Dairy Cottage in Springfield is a community staple and a historical eatery providing dairy product to the Springfield and surrounding areas since 1917. It offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. And burgers.

Nifty Fifty’s in Folsom is a ‘50s-themed diner that features juicy burgers, hand-spun milkshakes and flavored sodas

Charlie’s Hamburgers in Folsom is another community and Delco favorite that’s been around since 1935.  Very little has changed on the menu, with an offering of non-nonsense, perfectly-cooked burgers and fixings.

Zac’s Hamburgers in Folsom is a modern take on the classic burger stand, with counter service, burgers, fried chicken and milkshakes.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Broomall is part of a chain, but delivers classic flavors with retro charm.  The thin steakburgers are cooked to order.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Wayne is another well-known chain that satisfied classic burger cravings with made-to-order burgers and customizable toppings.
