These imaginative, ambitious, collaborative, and tech-savvy entrepreneurs are focused on social impact.
Maddocks, a longtime football player, founded Athlete Squared, headquartered in Villanova, as a way for younger players to train who can’t afford or find a personal coach.
The Villanova University quarterback took advantage of the NCAA’s new name, image and likeness rules.
The Athlete Squared app allows college athletes to create and sell training regiments in the form of videos which younger players can use to replicate sessions at home.
Maddocks described he concept as “creating content that you wish your younger self had.”
Athlete Squared has reached out to student-athletes for platform content and has brand partnerships, including Kansas State University’s women’s basketball team.
