Artist Creates Wooden Eagles Stadium Replica for Kylie’s Retirement Gift to Jason
Jason Kelce’s retirement gift from his wife Kylie was not only unique, but planned for two years, writes Ingrid Vasquez for People.
Kylie reported on Instagram that she commissioned Dana Theobald, a Georgia-based artist and woodworker, to create a wooden replica of Lincoln Financial Field, where 36-year-old Jason played 13 seasons as center for the Philadelphia Eagles.
“She came up with this beautiful custom design and then waited for me to give the retirement green light and J’s final list of accolades,” Kylie wrote while sharing Theobald’s Instagram post about the creation.
Theobald has also made stadium replicas where Taylor Swift has performed on the Eras Tour.
“A project that is so special to me and that I’m very excited to share,” Theobald wrote. “It was truly an honor.”
The stadium replica includes Jason’s football jersey number next to a list of his football accomplishments.
During his retirement speech, Jason said the “best years of my career” happened after he met Kylie.
“Every accolade I have ever received has come with her in my life,” said Jason “She has also given me three beautiful girls and a life that increasingly brings me more fulfillment off the field than it does on.”
