Being a medical professional in Philadelphia pays off, as the ten highest-paying jobs in the area are all in the medical field, according to a new ranking by Stacker.

To determine which jobs in Philadelphia pay the most, Stacker used Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

Jobs are ranked based on their median annual pay as of May 2022.

The first ten spots are a tie between surgeons (all other), radiologists, psychiatrists, obstetricians and gynecologists, general internal medicine physicians, emergency medicine physicians, dermatologists, anesthesiologists, and oral and maxillofacial surgeons.

While the exact median annual wage for these positions is unknown, they all make at least $239,200 per year or $115 per hour.

The eleventh place is also reserved for the medical field. Family medicine physicians take this spot with a median annual wage of $218,240, or a median hourly wage of $104.93.

Chief executives are at No. 12 with a $212,660 median annual wage and a $102.24 median hourly wage.

Physicists are next at No. 13 with a $209,850 median annual wage, followed by nurse anesthetists at No. 14 with a pay of $205,880.

The top 15 is rounded out by general pediatricians who earn an average of $204,340 per year.
