Thy Geekdom Con will return to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center (100 Station Ave., Oaks) Halls A, B, D, and E on May 24-26. After hosting the convention for nine years, it has grown to over 170,000 square feet to accommodate the growing crowd it has drawn.

Greater Philadelphia Expo Center Halls strives to make conventions affordable for everyone, doing whatever possible to pass savings along to attendees. Families, teenagers, and adults can partake in this anime and gaming event without incurring excessive expenses upon entry. With three-day passes priced at a modest $45, and further reduced rates for daily passes, the Expo Center Halls consistently achieves this objective.

Anime fans will notice the appearances of big-time voice actors in the anime industry. If you have watched or played popular anime and games such as Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Genshin Impact, Demon Slayer, Yu Yu Hakusho, and more, you have most certainly heard their voices.

Attendees of all ages love to cosplay and dress up in the costumes of their favorite characters at the event. Those who are passionate about cosplaying will have the opportunity to compete in our Hall Cosplay Contest and Masquerade for a chance to win great prizes and show off their favorite designs on our main stage.

Different panels and workshops are available all weekend ranging in various anime and pop culture topics. You can train to be a jedi, play trivia games, make your own Muppets, attend panels about different hobbies, and so much more.

On the main stage, alongside panels featuring voice actors, an array of captivating performances awaits. Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy a diverse selection of musical acts spanning from rock to hip hop, along with an exhilarating anime dance race. As the evening progresses, programming transitions to exclusive 18+ events, featuring enthralling cosplay burlesque performances and other adult-oriented activities.

The vendor hall has over 300 diverse artists and dealers from whom to buy a wide variety of wares. With such an assortment of items to choose from, there will certainly be something for anyone who loves anime or pop-culture items.

If you want to show off your video game skills, there will be video game tournaments running all weekend. Tournaments feature some of the hottest games, such as Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Dragon Ball Fighterz, and Mortal Kombat. Also in the gaming area, there will be pinball machines available to play, as well as a competition to see who can get the highest score.

If you love tabletop games, you can join in on one-shot RPGs, hosted board games, or simply pick up a game from their library of over 150 games. If you prefer to compete in tabletop events, there will also be tournaments all weekend.

If you need time to relax, you can pick up a manga or graphic novel from their extensive library of over 900 books. It’s a great place to explore titles you wouldn’t have otherwise and enjoy some quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of the convention.

For car lovers, there are JDM, Japanese imports, right-hand-drive vehicles, and Itasha cars on display.

The newest addition is the body mod market, where anime tattooers will be available all weekend. They will be ready to give ink or piercings to anyone who wants to get something new or that tattoo they always wanted.

The convention will feature celebrity voice actors, a wide variety of acts, panels, and musical performances. It will also have a diverse vendor hall, tabletop and video gaming, and affordable tournaments.
