U.S. News & World Report has released this year’s ranking of online MBA programs, and seven Philadelphia region schools made the top 100 in the country, including Saint Joseph’s University, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

St. Joe’s took the 85th spot this year while Villanova University and Lehigh University tied for the 37th spot and West Chester University came in at no. 60.

Other local universities on the list included the University of Delaware (29th), Drexel University (74th), and Rutgers University – Camden (74th).

The University of Delaware was the top-ranked online MBA program in the region this year, an honor Villanova University had held for the past three years.

Rowan University and Temple University online MBA programs just missed the top 100, tying at No. 112.

The online MBA programs are evaluated based on five measures: engagement with courses and instructors, a survey of high-ranking business officials, faculty credentials, student services and technologies, and student excellence.
