Comcast is unveiling several new products as part of its mission to keep up with the quickly evolving technology and media landscape, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

“The explosion of streaming, new technologies in AI, just to name a few, are rapidly converging and will fundamentally transform the way we live,” said Comcast Cable CEO Dave Watson.

One of the new technology products in the works at Comcast is EntertainmentOS. This platform will power all entertainment products for Comcast, Sky, and Xumo customers, putting streaming apps and live TV all in one place. 

Another product is High Fidelity Video, which combines 4K viewing with top picture and audio quality and reaches viewers quicker than traditional video.

Comcast is also unveiling new live sports features. Some of these features will be tested during the PGA Tour’s Players Championship, including live leaderboards integrated into the broadcast, live odds for the tournament, and a live course tour allowing viewers to move around and watch different holes.

There’s also XB10, which allows Xfinity Gateways to connect hundreds of devices simultaneously at multigigabit speeds.

Lastly, the Xfinity App will soon introduce a new feature that uses AI to sense motion through WiFi-connected devices.
