A full day of affordable professional development is available to to those who operate or are employed by dental practices and clinics on Saturday, March 9, at Harcum College in Bryn Mawr. 

The 16th Annual Dental Expo at Harcum College offers dentists, dental office managers, dental assistants, Expanded Function Dental Assistants (EFDAs), dental hygienists, current students, and Harcum alumni the opportunity to earn six credits (CEUs) issued by Harcum College, a Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry approved provider.

Unique to this year’s event is the chance to participate for enrolled students beginning attendance in one of the Harcum Dental programs in Fall 2024.

Registration for the event includes one (of three) morning courses; catered lunch while networking with alumni, instructors, vendors, and new dental friends; and, selecting another three-hour course (of three choices) for the afternoon session.

Registration is due by Feb. 15, 2024, and can be completed online.

“The expo has been a sell-out event every year it’s been held,” said organizer Dr. Theresa Groody, Director of Professional Studies.

“It is reasonably priced, conveniently located close to public transportation, offers adequate free parking, and is just a fun day to spend learning,” she concluded.

Harcum College offers Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting majors that are some of the most sought after in the region.

They also teach Expanded Function Dental Assisting classes that can be obtained as a certificate. Many of the attendees are Harcum alumni who currently work in many dental practices in the Philadelphia area.

Registration is available beginning at 8 AM the day of the event, and lunch is served from 12 noon to 1 PM in the Klein Dining Hall.
