A Newtown college campus will be the backdrop to Para-Con, an otherworldly conference dedicated to the supernatural, writes JD Mullane for the Bucks County Courier Times.  

The nearly day-long event will be held at Zlock Performing Arts Center at Bucks County Community College on March 9.  

Bucks County-based ghost hunter Eric Mintel will be at the helm of this paranormal exposition.  

His Youtube channel “Eric Mintel Investigates” interviews people who’ve had ‘unexplained’ or phenomenal experiences.  

He recalls a father and son who swear they encountered Big Foot while driving on Route 611 near the Oaks Family Restaurant in Pipersville. However, they were fearful of going public with the story.  

Featured speakers include Nick Pope, who previously ran the UFO program for the British government and also appeared on the History Channel’s ‘Ancient Aliens.‘

The father-and-son duo on 611 are not the first to claim they’ve seen Bigfoot in Bucks County. The former Rieglesville Mayor Greg Stokes went public in 2021 about seeing a mysterious figure while camping in the eighties.  

There is even a local chapter dedicated to the legendary creature.  

Mintel also says he’s had encounters with the paranormal while filming for his documentary series.  

“There’s something there,” Mintel says.
