Ross & Co., the restaurant that will replace Bernie’s in Hatboro, may take a bit longer than expected to finish the revamping process and open its doors to eager patrons, writes Dino Ciliberti for Patch.

A banner currently hanging from the building states that the new eatery from the owners of popular GypsyBlu in Ambler is “Coming in 2024.”

Work is currently progressing, and the space is getting closer to opening under a new name.

“It’s going well,” said owner Bob Ross. “Lots going on, more than planned, but all good.”

The current plan is to open the business at the end of February.

Ross started making changes as soon as he signed a lease for the building in mid-November. He was hoping to open the eatery after the new year, but it turned out that more work was required.

Ross has over four decades of experience in the restaurant business. He took over the Ambler location of GypsyBlu in June 2020 at the height of the pandemic and has the business thriving. He won several Best of Montgomery County restaurant awards for the eatery.
