Freedom Village at Brandywine has been recognized as a Best Nursing Home for 2024 by U.S. News & World Report. This prestigious recognition is testament to the high-quality care and services provided by the nursing home.

Since 2009, U.S. News’ annual Best Nursing Homes ratings have been a trusted resource for consumers seeking short-term rehabilitation or long-term care for themselves or a family member.

The ratings are based on comprehensive quality measures, including patient and resident outcomes, infection rates, staffing levels, reliance on antipsychotic drugs, health inspection results, and other quality indicators.

Freedom Village at Brandywine achieved its U.S. News Best Nursing Home status by securing a rating of “High Performing” for Long-term Care, the highest possible rating. This designation is awarded only to those nursing homes that satisfy U.S. News’ assessment of consistent performance in quality measures.

For the 2024 edition, U.S. News rated more than 15,000 nursing homes nationwide. The ratings provide an objective assessment of quality, helping patients, senior residents, their families, and caregivers choose the facility that best fits their individual needs.

The Best Nursing Homes ratings are calculated using a variety of quality measures obtained from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

The U.S. News methodology factors in data such as resident care, safety, and outcomes, including nurse staffing, use of antipsychotic drugs, and success in preventing ER and hospital visits.

The long-term care rating also considers factors such as changes in home ownership and weekend staffing levels.
