Episcopal overcomes La Salle’s lead to earn win

Episcopal fought to overcome a first-quarter deficit for a 63-48 win over La Salle in Pennsylvania boys basketball on Dec. 14.

La Salle showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 14-10 advantage over Episcopal as the first quarter ended.

The Churchmen kept a 28-26 half margin at the Explorers’ expense.

Episcopal darted to a 47-37 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

The Churchmen held on with a 16-11 scoring edge in the final quarter.

In recent action on Dec. 7, La Salle faced off against Salesianum and Episcopal took on Friends Central on Dec. 9 at Friends Central School.
