As COVID-19 Cases Rise, Abington School District Offers a Vaccine Clinic
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been reporting a rise in COVID-19 cases this fall, just in time to coincide with the annual fall uptick of flu cases.
To reduce the risk of illness, the Abington School District is offering a COVID, Flu Vaccine Clinic at Abington High School at 900 Highland Avenue, writes Max Bennett for Patch.
The Abington School District is running the clinic in partnership with Eric’s Rx Shoppe. It will be held on Friday, October 6, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Flu vaccines will be available for children and adults three and older, and the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine will also be available.
Because the uninsured/underinsured program is not running right now, anyone without insurance will not be able to be vaccinated at the clinic. Those with insurance may have to pay a copay.
Pre-registration is recommended.
