Several of City & State’s Forty Under 40 list Have Ties to Montgomery County, Philly Region

Huwayda Fakhry, the Business Strategy and Communications Director for KieranTimberlake, the architectural firm behind Philadelphia's Dilworth Park, is a Montgomery County native.

Many of Pennsylvania’s rising stars recognized in the Pennsylvania Forty Under 40 have ties to the Philadelphia region, writes Hilary Danailova for City & State Pennsylvania.

All the honorees are passionate about their careers and have personal motivations for what drives them.

Here are a few of the honorees:

Huwayda Fakhry

Huwayda Fakhry is the Business Strategy and Communications Director for KieranTimberlake, the architectural firm behind Dilworth Park. A Montgomery County native, Fakhry is an architect herself and loves telling inspirational stories of structures.

Thomas Young

Thomas Young is president and CEO of the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia. Young says his focus is always helping others. His older brother Ken Lawrence Jr. is Montgomery County’s first African-American commissioner.

Sinceré Harris

Sinceré Harris is the campaign manager for Cherelle Parker for Mayor. Growing up in Philadelphia, she was always interested in politics. After working on presidential campaigns, she wanted to come back home to help the city elect its first Black female mayor.

Michael Kirschman

Michael Kirschman, a Quakertown native, is Customer Success Manager and Bank Officer for Penn Community Bank. He has worked there for over a decade helping to spearhead the LGBTQ+ employee resource group and serving as a new hire liaison.
