These Montgomery County School Districts Are Among the Best in Pennsylvania
Five Montgomery County school districts are among Pennsylvania’s top 25 school districts for 2024, according to Niche, writes Michelle Rotuno-Johnson for Patch.
The districts are Lower Merion School District in Ardmore (4th), Colonial School District in Plymouth Meeting (11th), Spring-Ford Area School District in Royersford (14th), Wissahickon School District in Ambler (15th), and School District of Upper Dublin in Maple Glen (22nd).
Niche ranked 94,058 public schools and 30,809 private schools nationally for its 2024 Best Schools and Districts rankings.
The best school district in Pennsylvania according to Niche? Radnor Township School District in Delaware County.
It was chosen No. 1 among 390 Pennsylvania school districts, with Niche giving Radnor an A+ in academics, teachers, clubs and activities, sports, college prep, administration, and food. It earned a B- for resources and facilities and a B- for diversity.
The school district hosts 3,601 students in five buildings, and it received high marks from students, parents, and teachers.
“Radnor has been an amazing experience for me,” a student wrote in January 2021. “The teachers are absolutely incredible and are always willing to help students go the extra mile!”
The Niche.com rankings have been released every year for the past nine years. It compares K-12 schools and districts across the United States, combining input from students, alumni, and parents along with U.S. Department of Education data.
