Lambertville is considered one of the most charming small towns in America.

If you cross the river toward New Jersey, you will find yourself in one of the 50 most charming small towns in America, according to HGTV, writes Katherine Rodriguez for Lehigh Valley Live.

In a recently released slideshow, HGTV described Lambertville as “The Antiques Capital of New Jersey.”

They do have a point, as the town with about 4,000 residents has plenty of vintage finds for antique shoppers. There is the Golden Nugget Antique Flea Market which features an indoor and outdoor market of rare treasures three times a week. Meanwhile, the People’s Store Antiques and Designs has over 40 dealers.

Lambertville has something to offer for those who are into art as well. Artists’ Gallery carries artwork from local artists that is reasonably priced. Additionally, visitors can find numerous artists and crafters who have set up shop along the Delaware River.

The ranking also mentions the historic townhomes and Victorian homes that dominate the area, as well as a train depot that complements the “Zagat-rated restaurants and award-winning hotels.”
