Kim E. Fraites-Dow, a Montgomery County resident, was nominated as a Patch community leader for the strong impact she has had as CEO of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, writes Justin Heinze for Patch.

She was nominated by Taylor Campbell who lives in the PlymouthWhitemarsh area.

On why Fraites Dow deserves to be recognized, Campbell wrote:

“Kim is passionate about providing opportunities for Eastern Pennsylvania’s young women and girls, advocating for girls to have a seat at the table and works tirelessly to empower them to amplify their voices for causes they believe in. Under Kim’s leadership, tens of thousands of Girl Scouts in GSEP’s landscape have been exposed to STEM learning and developed entrepreneurial business skills by selling over four million packages of cookies each year, all while philanthropically reinvesting in Girl Scout programs, camps and trainings.”

Fraites Dow has led the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania for 12 years now and continues to grow the membership to ensure the organization’s legacy of service and learning, Campell wrote.
