Pope John Paul II rallies to top Phoenixville Area

Phoenixville Area’s advantage forced Pope John Paul II to dig down, but it did to earn a 38-21 win Saturday on Oct. 21 in Pennsylvania football action.

Phoenixville Area started on steady ground by forging a 7-0 lead over Pope John Paul II at the end of the first quarter.

The Golden Panthers’ offense moved in front for a 23-14 lead over the Phantoms at halftime.

Neither team could gain any advantage in the third quarter.

The Golden Panthers got the better of the fourth-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with an 8-0 edge.

In recent action on Oct. 13, Pope John Paul II faced off against Pottstown and Phoenixville Area took on Upper Perkiomen on Oct. 13 at Upper Perkiomen High School.
