An Australian company that employs hundreds of people across the Keystone State and has a facility in East Greenville, is investing in green energy infrastructure, according to 69 News.

Pratt Industries manufactures 100 percent recycled packaging and paper, the largest private-owned company to do so. This $500 million investment will create hundreds of jobs throughout the state.

Governor Josh Shapiro along with Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger announced this investment at a Pratt Industries manufacturing site in Carlisle.

“We’re moving at the speed of business to ensure more companies like Pratt Industries choose to grow here in Pennsylvania,” said Siger.

This investment is also on top of another $500 million pledged by the same company.

“Whether they’re based in Australia or Allegheny County, we are showing the private sector that an investment in our Commonwealth is a worthwhile one,” said Shapiro.
