Norristown’s Elmwood Park Zoo is bringing family-friendly events to great heights. “Breakfast with Giraffes” allows adults and kids the opportunity to get up close and personal with these beloved creatures, writes Justin Heinze for The Norristown Patch.

Attendees enter a special station to feed the giraffes. They can enjoy breakfast before the feeding for a starting price of $134.95 that seats a table of four. The buffet style breakfast is outside, right near the giraffes.

The menu offers scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, fresh fruit, and cookies. Guests can also sip on coffee, milk or orange juice, and adults can buy beer, wine or seltzer.

Bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary’s can be added on for $30.

The event is on following dates from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.

  • Saturday, September 2
  • Sunday, September 3
  • Saturday, October 7
  • Sunday, October 8
