When the owners of a 1950s ranch home in Phoenixville purchased their new residence, it had almost all the original elements. Yet, the rooms were closed off from each other and had low ceilings. They decided to do a complete contemporary remodel, according to contemporist.com.

With nearly 3,500 square feet of living space, the couple had a decent amount of renovations to finish in order to make the house feel like a home. The kitchen had red carpet, wood trim around the baseboards, and the space lacked openness.

So, Studio Robert Jamieson in Wayne was hired to help revamp the property, nicknamed the Ravenhill project.

The house received a major glow-up in the form of new roofing, black windows and trim outdoors, and much more to modernize everything. Inside, a new kitchen presented tall walnut cabinets and an island, ideal for both cooking and entertainment.

The living room, once with its dark green carpet, has now come alive with cedar walls and custom steel pass-through shelving. The guest bathroom was given a face-lift through a walnut floating vanity and herringbone wall tiles. Additionally, furniture and art throughout the home finished off the rest of its transformation.
