Radnor-based Amateur Golf Society Hosting Own Philadelphia Area Tour

The Amateur Golf Society, which is based in Radnor, was the brainchild of Dan Hershberg, co-founder of Workhorse Brewing Co., in King of Prussia, writes John George for The Philadelphia Business Journal.

Starting out as just golf tournaments to help promote the brewing company during the pandemic, the Amateur Golf Society has now grown to about 650 members.

And now The Amateur Golf Society is launching its own 2023 Tour.

An Amateur Golf Society membership starts at $75 for the season. Players have the flexibility to play competitive golf on their own time at more than 60 public courses throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

“What’s great about this is we offer a different value proposition for individual golfers — whether you are someone who is into competition, but you don’t belong to a private club, or you can’t play at a one-day event,” Hershberg said.

“This gives you an outlet to be competitive regardless of your skill level.”
