Pottstown GoFourth! Announces Street Festival and Fireworks Party Schedule & Lineup

Get ready to ignite your patriotism and celebrate America like never before! The Pottstown GoFourth! Festival is right around the corner, promising to be an unforgettable event for the entire family.

The countdown is on as organizers put the finishing touches on an action-packed day filled with entertainment, delicious food, and uncontainable excitement. Say goodbye to those pricey gas expenses and hello to a day of fun right in your own backyard.

This year’s event is jam-packed with exhilarating activities from start to finish, so make sure you mark your calendars and come out to experience all the festivities! Whether you’re a longtime local or a first-time visitor, you won’t want to miss this celebration of America’s independence.

The Pottstown GoFourth! Festival Street Fest will start as soon as the Rotary Club of Pottstown 4th of July Parade is completed and runs until 4 pm.

The Street Fest, which will be on High Street, concentrated between Penn and York Streets, features various musical entertainment at Smith Plaza, sponsored by VideoRay, LLC.

Live sound is provided by Montgomery County Community College Sound Recording and Technology Department.

“We are thrilled to bring the community another fantastic celebration of Independence Day with our Street Fest & Fireworks Party, ” said Amy Bathurst Francis, co-chair of Pottstown GoFourth!

“With something to see, do, and taste for people of all ages, it promises to be a day of fun and festivities that no one will want to miss.”

The entertainment lineup kicks-off immediately after the parade with the singing of The Star-Spangled Banner by Jo Ann Bathurst, followed by country music favorite Stephanie Grace, presented by Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department.

This is Ms. Grace’s second appearance at the Pottstown GoFourth! Festival. Fans of Taylor Swift will recognize her as the opening act at Ms. Swift’s recent concert in Philadelphia.

Hector Rosado Y Orchestra Hache will take the stage at 12:45 pm. This is their fifth appearance at the festival, and they always get the crowd moving with their upbeat Latin sounds.

Headliners Modern Luxe will return for their third appearance at the festival, performing at 2:30 pm and closing out the show with their energetic blend of dance and party music.

Those attending the festivities can enjoy food and beverages from food trucks and the ever-popular Sly Fox Brewing Company, set up near Smith Plaza, while they listen to the music.

Artisans and vendors will also be set up in front of Smith Plaza, where visitors can purchase unique handcrafted items and products. The Kid’s Fun Zone, sponsored by Fox Rothschild, LLC, will be between Hanover and Penn Streets, where it features plenty of free activities that are sure to keep kids engaged.

Three face painters will provide free face painting, as well as a glitter tattoo artist for kids of all ages.

Other fun festivities to check out include:

  • Judy Tudy, who returns again this year with two magic shows, at Noon and 1 pm.
  •  The Shire of Hartshorn Dale’s various living history demonstrations.
  • The Pottstown Children’s’ Discovery Center’s Big Blue Blocks.
  • Action-comedy juggler Scotty Cavanaugh.
  • The Rotary Club of Pottstown’s Annual Duck Race, which will be held at 3 pm at the intersection of High and Hanover.

As the sun begins to set, visitors can head over to Memorial Park for the Fireworks Party, set to take place from 5 pm to 10 pm, with the Fireworks Finale, sponsored by Precision Polymer Products, promptly at 9:30 pm.

The park will feature food trucks, a Sly Fox Beer Garden, and inflatables and a carnival game attraction. The ever-popular GRANDPOP BUBBLES will be on hand from 5 pm – 8:30 pm, where he’ll show kids from 12-months to 1200- months how to make the BIGGEST bubbles of their lives!

DJ Q Ball, aka Harry Dean, owner of Rivet: Canteen and Assembly, will provide the music at the park.

The pyrotechnics, presented by International Fireworks, will begin at 9:30 pm and are sponsored by Precision Polymer Products, Inc.

Premium parking passes for the fireworks show are available at www.pottstowngofourth.com. Free parking is also available in the parking lot at Montgomery County Community College’s South Hall, 101 College Drive, and in the Borough of Pottstown lots at South Hanover Street near the train tracks, the lots at High and Evans Street, and the lot on King Street between Hanover and Penn streets.

For those looking to take a ride on the Colebrookdale Railroad Fireworks Express, it will depart at 7 pm from the Boyertown station, arriving in plenty of time for the show. Tickets for the train ride are available at www.colebrookdalerailroad.com.
