A Conshohocken-based branding agency is looking to raise between $150,000 to $200,000 in Series A funding in hopes of scaling its Lego-like container garden products simply called Harvi, writes Lisa Dukar for The Business Journals.

The goal is to provide Harvi Garden, which is currently considered in beta mode, with a bigger market share and launch new products and programs that would make container gardening accessible to a larger population segment.

Harvi was launched last year. It is a modular container garden aimed at people with limited outdoor space. It comes with a self-watering feature and is created using food-safe and BPA-free materials.

The thing that sets it apart, though, is its ability to configure multiple units in various ways.

“It’s sort of like a Lego of garden,” said Jason Weidner, who co-created Harvi with Greg Ricciardi.

A single Harvi Garden measures 31.5 inches long, 15.75 inches tall and wide, and retails for $185. The unit is available in five colors and comes with legs that enable it to be stacked and arranged with other units.

Users can plant vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, and fruit in the containers. Harvi holds about 1.5 gallons of water and can water plants for one to two weeks.

“The core purpose here is to help people that have limited space,” said Weidner.
