Dani McGuckin, a stylist at Salon Twenty-Two And Spa in Pottstown received a special surprise Friday while she was working, writes the digital staff at 6ABC.

Chris Lerch, founder of Hello 422, surprised McGuckin with a $1,300 tip.

Hello 422 started as a passion project for Lerch who wanted to raise awareness for small, local businesses who were struggling during the pandemic.

The group’s “Community Tip Campaign” allows people to nominate deserving employees of local businesses like McGuckin, a mother of three, for a surprise tip.

Four other surprise tips have been given local waiters and waiters and waitresses.

“I’m like kind of in shock,” she said. “I was not anticipating that at all, this the biggest surprise of my entire life.”
