One of the oldest bars in the entire country is located in Bucks County, and it has been a popular destination for centuries. Jordan Litchfield wrote about the establishment for Newsbreak.

The King George II Inn, located at 102 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, was originally opened in 1681, making it one of the oldest buildings in an area replete with historic buildings. Located next to an area of the Delaware River known as the “Bristol Wharf”, the inn was set up as a stopping point between New York City and Philadelphia.

“From colonial times – before there even was a United States – to the present, there has been a longstanding tradition here of providing exceptional food and drink, paired with unmatched hospitality, to all who pass through our doors,” the inn’s website reads.

Still in operation to this day, the inn is a fixture in the Bristol area, harking back to a time before the official foundation of the United States.
