North Wales Man Arrested for Trying to Strong Arm a One-Armed Bandit
A 75-year-old North Wales man let his temper get the better of him during his latest visit to the Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia. The incident was reported in The Sanatoga Post.
According to Pennsylvania State Police records, the man damaged equipment at the casino when he decided to solve his issues with a slot machine by punching it.
The gambler — unlucky in more ways than one — was taken into custody by troopers from the Skippack barracks. They were on duty at the casino as an onsite police presence representing the Pa. Bureau of Gaming Enforcement.
According to the officers, the disgruntled player was spotted on the floor of the casino attacking the device “with a closed fist.”
The incident took place on May 6.
The officers did not indicate if the man was injured or if he required medical attention. They did say that the machine was broken in some way. They also did not disclose why the man started taking out his frustration on an inanimate object designed as an ongoing means to remove funds from voluntary players seeking entertainment.
The vandal ended up being cited for criminal mischief that resulted in property damage.
