Montgomery County Community College is seeking a qualified individual for the Part-Time Catering and Special Events coordinator position.

This creative person should understand basic food knowledge and flavor combinations. This role works with professional staff, faculty, and students.

This position may involve travel between campuses. It requires morning, evening, and weekend availability.

The new hire must have a valid Drives License. They must also submit a Child abuse clearance, PA State Police clearance, and FBI Fingerprint prior to their first day.

The selected applicant must have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field preferred OR
    • 3+ years in a restaurant professional kitchen OR
    • High school diploma/GED with at least 5+ years of professional kitchen experience
  • Current SERV Safe Certifications
  • Ability to train, develop, and delegate appropriately to students.
  • Ability to manage multiple event orders and timelines at one time.
  • Creativity with food pairings, tastings & other food-related services.
  • Strong customer focus with clear and effective communication styles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
