Jennifer Weissbach is leaving The Hill School field hockey program after nine years, according to a staff report from the Ex Bulletin.

During this time, she led the program’s rise to second place in the national ranking after she won last year’s state Independent Schools Championship.

The 31-year-old Weissbach is leaving for the position of counselor at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. She will also continue her coaching career there. She will remain in Pottstown at Hill until the end of the current academic year.

Weissbach earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad honors in high school. She is a Dartmouth College alumnus and she came to Hill after graduating as an assistant coach. Three years later, she took control.

The Hills hockey team won the 12 Mid-Atlantic Prep League titles under her lead, which is half of their total number of titles. Last year, she led the Blues to their first PAISAA title after managing to beat three-time defending champions Episcopal Academy.

“What I’m most proud of is the culture I’ve built,” said Weissbach.
