Philadelphia is currently one of the most popular travel destinations among the nation’s cities, writes Teena Apeles for Stacker.

Stacker ranked the top 25 most popular cities using 2022 fourth-quarter data from YouGov. To rank cities, Stacker used an overall positive opinion score, or the percentage of positive responses received from the survey. Scores were also broken down by generation.

The City of Brotherly Love ranked at No. 22. Philadelphia recorded a positive opinion score of 52 percent. Its popularity is highest among millennials, with 59 percent of positive responses.

Popularity among Gen X is 51 percent, while among boomers it is the lowest, at 43 percent.

Philadelphia attracts visitors with numerous important historical sites, as one of the union’s oldest cities and the country’s first capital. Just a few from these are Independence Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Liberty Bell.

It is not all about history, though. Philadelphia has plenty of fun pop culture destinations, such as the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art steps made popular by the Rocky films and the famous skateboarding destination LOVE Park.

There are also plenty of lively neighborhoods to explore.
