Montgomery County Community College is welcoming candidates for Summer Camp Assistant. The position is temporary and part time.

The selected applicant would be responsible for delivering parts of the summer camp curriculum and ensuring the safety of children
attending the summer programming.

This position requires PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances before starting.

The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

• Undergraduate student in fine arts, art education, or elementary education
• Working knowledge of multiple art forms (especially 2D and 3D fine arts and/or digital and media arts, or dance/movement arts)
• Prior teaching/classroom experience a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Successful completion of standard background checks

Some special considerations an interested candidate may need to take into account include the following:

• This position works with minors
• The selected applicant will nearly continuously need to speak and hear, as well as stand throughout the day
• Will often be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl, lift up to 50 pounds
• Will often be required to walk and/or assist in various outside activities in the summer,
• sometimes in full sun
