Spring weather is warming, bringing with it summer’s ice cream season. Victoria Alfred-Levow got the scoop on some local notables in Main Line Today.
The good news is that some of the best ice cream shops in the region can be found in Montgomery County.
Village Treats in Narberth is the quintessential “small-town ice cream shop.” It serves Bassett’s ice cream in various flavors such as butter pecan, graham slam, and moose tracks.
And if you are in the mood for something else, there are always daily-made delicious cookies and brownies made using their own recipe.
Yosl’s Frozen Yogurt in Bala Cynwyd offers a whopping 90 flavors of gluten-free, low-fat frozen yogurts — all kosher-certified.
Meanwhile, Petrucci’s Ice Cream in King of Prussia features a variety of hand-dipped flavors, Italian water ice, soft-serve, sundaes, and smoothies, among other delicacies.
Finally, family-owned Scoops, located in the heart of Conshohocken, serves up a host of gourmet flavors — and even has something for your dog to enjoy as well.
