Craft beer recommendations from XTU are timed for the upcoming summer season.

Spring 2023 may be sputtering along, but Steve Vassalotti of radio station 92.5 XTU is already looking forward to the flip-flops, straw-hat, outdoor days of summer. He listed five craft beer breweries across the state that are especially recommendable for sampling from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The craft brewing scene in the Keystone State has been on the rise for at least a decade, driven by Gen X and Millennial fandom and innovation (with Baby Boomers tagging along).

Better still, access to these products has eased. For consumers of legal age, they can be found on traditional beer distributors’ shelves. But also, owing to relaxed Pennsylvania laws, they’re in stock at area grocery stores.

Montgomery County’s brewers shine in this list, earning two of the five mentions.

Blood Money, from Conshohocken Brewing Company, got a nod.

As its name indicates, it’s a juicy Blood Orange IPA, bolstered by its hops and grain.

Workhorse Brewing Company, from King of Prussia, was also recognized for its wryly named brew, Queen of Prussia.

In Vassalotti’s estimation for XTU, it is ideal for barbecues or summer parties.

The full list of craft beer recommendations for the warmer days to come is at 92.5 XTU.
