Tiny Montco Restaurant Has Huge Reputation for One Particular Meal
A statewide evaluation of the first (and most important) meal of the day has yielded a solid recommendation for a Montgomery County favorite, which earned a hearty endorsement from the Travel Maven.
She asserts that it serves one of the best breakfasts in the state.
Better still, it’s got all the hallmarks of a community favorite: It’s not ritzy; it’s not even that large (waiting for a table is a regular part of the experience); and its curb appeal is low-key.
The local go-to for a five-star breakfast is Annamarie’s Place in Royersford and Birdsboro.
Noted were the pancakes, which come in flavors that include chocolate-coconut, snickerdoodle, and Boston cream pie. And they’re huge. Typically, they hug the rims of the plates they arrive on.
For something more savory, the omelets, eggs Benedict, and wraps are all noteworthy.
The homey atmosphere is also worth stopping for.
A Yelp reviewer described it thusly: “What makes this place so special? It’s the character. The place has a vibe. You need to come hungry; the portions are huge.
“You will not see any frou-frou plates here. It is a mountain of food piled on a plate and sent out.
“The taste is Annamarie’s. Those that go … know.”
