ZeroEyes — whose experts created an A.I.-based gun detection video analytics platform that gained the U.S. Department of Homeland Security imprimatur — is partnering with a collar-county tech firm. LawOfficer.com reported the collaboration.

Together, ZeroEyes (Conshohocken) and United Safety & Survivability Corp. (Exton) will work to make U.S. public transportation safer through artificial intelligence gun-detection methods that prevent violent outbreaks.

United Safety will be reselling the tech, concentrating specifically on transit market purchasers.

ZeroEyes’ software augments existing security cameras to identifying brandished weapons. It then automatically contacts security personnel and local law enforcement, as fast as 3 to 5 seconds from the moment of detection.

“United Safety has worked with nearly every U.S. and Canadian transit agency over the past 20 years, and we’ve seen the challenges that our customers are facing in regards to safety,” said Joseph Mirabile, President and CEO of United Safety.
