Four Remote Work Trends for 2023
While many companies are asking their employees to come back to the office, many remote positions are here to stay. Here are some trends to look out for in the remote work world, according to career agency Robert Half.
Remote work is not going away
In fact, remote work is becoming more popular among employees because it gives them more flexibility. Robert half reveals that 87 percent of U.S. job seekers are looking for remote or hybrid positions.
Happier employees
With flexibility comes happiness and increased satisfaction. Having the option to work from anywhere gives employees a greater sense of freedom in their day-to-day life.
People are willing to cut salaries in exchange for remote work
Money doesn’t buy happiness. Robert Half reports that people are willing to take a pay cut to have more flexibility in their day. Among the most likely to sacrifice salary are working parents and people in the technology industry.
Opportunities are still abundant
Remote employees also have access to the same opportunities and promotions that in-person workers do. It might require a bit more effort including more conversations with their boss, expressing interest, and volunteering to take the lead in major projects.
