Montgomery County Community College is inviting applicants for the Part-Time Nursing Faculty position.

The position involves teaching assigned courses that facilitate student learning and mastery of course material. The selected candidate’s primary responsibilities involve supervising student clinical activities for the college’s Associate Degree Nursing program.

The selected candidate should have the facility to carry out the following tasks:

• Planning, directing, supervising, and evaluating student laboratory and clinical learning activities.
• Using effective interpersonal communication skills in advising students regarding clinical and professional concerns.
• Maintaining currency of clinical practice.
• Participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Nursing Program’s policies and procedures.
• Adhering to all clinical affiliation’s healthcare requirements.
• Utilizing evaluation data to improve performance.

The ideal candidate would also have the following qualifications:

• Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing (MSN) or matriculation in MSN Program relevant to clinical area of responsibility.
• Current non-encumbered licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Ability to teach undergraduates of all abilities.
  • Community college teaching experience preferred.
• Exhibited evidence of continued professional growth and development.
• Demonstrated commitment to the use of innovative instructional techniques.
• Demonstrated commitment to address diverse learning styles.
• Commitment to culturally diverse perspectives in the curriculum.
• Knowledge of competency-based education preferred.
• Commitment to work with diverse populations. 
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a comprehensive community college philosophy.
