Small-business owner Chris Canale attended the Feb. 21 meeting of the Limerick Township Board of Supervisors. He sought approval for a move his Cotton and Crete — a fully online home décor shop — into a former Royersford chapel. Joe Zlomek reported the request in The Sanatoga Post.

Retail is Canale’s second career. He shares its responsibilities with his family. Full-time, he runs OSR Builders, a community general contractor firm.

Canale and his family have set their sights on a former chapel at 528 N. Lewis Road for its retail presence. The locale is already supporting commercial real estate; a former bank next door is being transitioned into a physical therapy site.

The board, generally supportive of the plan, advised Canale on details that include zoning hearings, civil engineering review of parking requirements, and compliance with township planning procedures.

Canale was confident that the site would suit his family’s commercial needs. And that his contracting skills would enable it to be restored “back to its glory,” he commented.
